Stormac is a Co-Operative Ice Hockey team between Norwalk High School, Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk and Staples High School in Wesptort. Stormac provides leadership, development, and positive hockey experience, while working together to achieve common goals.
The program is an extension of the values and ideals of our schools and aims to promote the development of a well-rounded individual, by encouraging the development of our players individually as hockey players but just as important, as teammates, teaching them valuable lessons that can be applied long after they leave the rink – leadership, commitment, good sportsmanship, self-discipline, personal growth, hard work, teamwork, and outstanding character. We support this development in all players, regardless of playing ability.
Student athletes are expected to exhibit the highest level of conduct and sportsmanship both on and off the playing field as they are, always, representatives of their team, school, and community. Proper respect for all coaches, teammates, officials, spectators, and equipment.
Most of all, we promote the fun of hockey and love of the game, not just in our players but with our hockey families.
If you are interested in becoming a Normac hockey player and attend one of our two high schools, please contact the Stormac Booster Club at normachockeyboosterclub@gmail.com or wreckerhockey@gmail.com
